2. Access Data

When you merely use our website for informational purposes, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server ("log files"). If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website and to ensure stability and security:

- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case
- Website from which the request comes
- Browser
- Operating system and its interface
- Language and version of the browser software

The information is used to monitor and manage the performance and reliability of the web servers. In case of suspected fraudulent activities on our website, the web logs may be used to validate the activities of an anonymous user.

The evaluation of the data is in the legitimate interest of eHolder AG. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

3. Cookies

In addition to the previously mentioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive associated with the browser you use, and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet offer as a whole more user-friendly and effective.

Our website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

a) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the shared session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

b) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in your browser’s security settings at any time.

c) Third-party cookies are set by a party other than eHolder AG and can be read by the partner's computer upon a user's return to the website. Unlike cookies used by eHolder AG itself, these are usually service providers that collect advertising-relevant information about users.

You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. If you do not want Flash cookies to be processed, you need to install a corresponding add-on, e.g., "Better Privacy" for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/) or the Adobe Flash Killer Cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by using your browser’s private mode. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually. Please note that by disabling cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.

The use of cookies is in the legitimate interest of eHolder AG to optimize our offer. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

4. Contacting Us

When you contact us via our contact form, only the personal data you provide will be collected and processed. The data you provide as part of a contact inquiry will be collected, processed, and used exclusively for handling your concern.

This also includes sharing data with the internet service provider responsible for providing our website. eHolder AG follows the principle of data minimization, only sharing the data that is absolutely necessary for the specific transaction. The data is further used to maintain communication with you. eHolder AG does not share your personal data with third parties without your explicit, revocable consent. eHolder AG stores this information until the consent is revoked.

This data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.

5. Data Transfer to Third Parties

The transfer of customer data to third parties only occurs as necessary for contract fulfillment. We also use external service providers (processors) for contract execution. Separate data processing agreements have been concluded with these service providers to ensure the protection of your personal data. This is particularly relevant for payment processing.

This data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for the execution of the purchase contract.

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Alternatively, you can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. Please note that if you delete the cookies in your browser settings, this may result in the opt-out cookie also being deleted and may need to be reactivated by you.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "anonymizeIp." As a result, IP addresses are processed in a shortened form to exclude direct personal references. Insofar as the data collected about you has a personal reference, this is immediately excluded, and the personal data is thus promptly deleted.

We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. In exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

This data processing is intended to measure and evaluate visitor flows on our website to gain an accurate overview of visitor numbers, usage interests, and other relevant information for structuring our company's operations and website. This data processing is carried out based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO to safeguard the legitimate interests of eHolder AG, namely the optimization of our offer.

7. Use of Social Media Plugins

We currently use the following social media plugins: [Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Instagram]. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the plugin providers. You can recognize the plugin provider by the marking on the box above its initial letter or the logo. We allow you to communicate directly with the plugin provider via the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thereby activate it will the plugin provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online offer. The data mentioned under § 3 of this declaration will also be transmitted. According to the respective providers in Germany, the IP address is anonymized immediately after collection for Facebook and Xing. By activating the plugin, personal data is transferred from you to the respective plugin provider and stored there (for US providers in the USA). Since the plugin provider collects data, especially via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser's security settings before clicking on the grayed-out box.

We have no influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of data collection, the purposes of processing, and the storage periods. We also do not have information on the deletion of the collected data by the plugin provider.

The plugin provider stores the data collected about you as user profiles and uses these for advertising, market research, and/or tailored design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for non-logged-in users) to display tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plugin provider to exercise this right. Through the plugins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users so that we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user.

Data is passed on regardless of whether you have an account with the plugin provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the plugin provider, your data collected by us will be directly assigned to your existing account with the plugin provider. If you press the activated button and, for example, link the page, the plugin provider also stores this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you regularly log out after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this can prevent assignment to your profile with the plugin provider.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plugin provider can be found in the following data protection declarations of these providers. There you will also receive further information about your rights and settings options to protect your privacy.
